The Vietnam Era Educational Center offers EEO/AA programs to corporations throughout the State of New Jersey.  Our programs can be customized to each groups specific needs, but our standard program is three hours in duration.  This time frame includes:

* An overview of concept and history of EEO and AA
* A guided tour of the Memorial and Educational Center
* An opportunity to speak with Vietnam Veterans about their experiences with EEO/AA as well as their time in Vietnam.

-
Equal Employment Opportunity
consists of a commitment to recruit, hire, place and promote without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap, or status as a disabled or Vietnam Era Veteran

Affirmative Action consists of a special effort, over & above that which is normally applied to, to recruit, hire, place, develop, train, or promote minorities, women, handicapped persons, and disabled and Vietnam era veterans.

EEO - be ‘color/gender/age blind‘. Treat all qualified candidates equally and select solely on their qualifications, period!

AA - reach out for qualified candidates that have historically been denied employment with the intention of improving their employment skills.
