Purple Heart Monument
In May of 2011 the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation added a new monument to its property. Located to the left of the Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center's entrance is the Purple Heart Monument. The Monument is dedicated to the recipients of the Nation's oldest military decoration "the purple heart." Several copies of this monument are stationed throughout the country. This copy was erected by the Department of New Jersey Military Order of the Purple Heart.
